McGraw-Hill Tegrity Campus Builds on Record Academic Year with New and Expanded Engagements During First Half of 2012

NEW YORK, July 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- McGraw-Hill Higher Education's Tegrity Campus wrapped up the first half of the year with 30 new and expanded partnerships with universities and colleges across the U.S. McGraw-Hill Tegrity Campus enables professors to record lectures, supplemental materials and classroom discussion so that students can access classroom content "wherever, whenever," ultimately providing a more flexible, efficient and effective learning experience. Lecture capture solutions have become a critical component of today's academic setting and campuses are widely deploying McGraw-Hill Tegrity Campus due to its proven impact on engaging students, recharging their study habits, improving learning and overall driving classroom performance and higher grades.

New Engagements

Thanks to new agreements, McGraw-Hill Tegrity Campus will be available campus-wide at Eastern Kentucky University, Lipscomb University and the University of Central Florida. Other four-year institutions that will be deploying McGraw-Hill Tegrity Campus include Murray State University, Oklahoma State and Cleveland State University.

Recent research from the Center for Digital Education indicates that lecture capture is a primary area of technology investment for community colleges, and McGraw-Hill Tegrity Campus has long been their technology of choice. Flathead Valley Community College and Kirtland Community College are the latest community colleges to add McGraw-Hill Tegrity Campus to facilitate the learning needs of their traditional and non-traditional students.

In the first half of 2012, McGraw-Hill Higher Education partnered with two educational consortiums -- the Associated Colleges of Central Kansas (ACCK) and the North Dakota University System. Between the two organizations, McGraw-Hill Tegrity Campus will be available at 17 new schools, varying from two- and four-year, and private and public institutions.

These institutions have plans to begin integrating McGraw-Hill Tegrity Campus within their business, math and science programs as well as for core eLearning initiatives such as online and hybrid course offerings.

Expanded Engagements

In addition to the new partnerships, a number of current McGraw-Hill Tegrity Campus users are expanding their use of the lecture capture solution as a result of increased popularity among students and requests from faculty, who cited its ability to help them achieve learning objectives and increase student performance and retention. McNeese State University, Temple College, Campbell University, University of Missouri - Columbia and University of Texas at Tyler all plan to expand their use of McGraw-Hill Tegrity Campus and add new programs.

The expanded partnerships come on the heels of a record academic year for McGraw-Hill Tegrity Campus. At the close of the school year, the number of students and instructors using McGraw-Hill Tegrity Campus grew as much as 70 percent over the previous academic year. This surge in use among institutions is a direct result of McGraw-Hill Tegrity Campus' impact on learning comprehension and improvement in grades.
