McGraw-Hill School Education's Proven Digital Solutions Selected as Finalists for 2012 CODiE Awards

The CODiE Awards, an annual awards program that recognizes excellence in software development in the software industry, is the only peer-recognition program of its kind.

        eToolkit was named a finalist for Best Educational Use of a
        Device-Specific Application. Everyday Mathematics is an award-winning,
        research-based, Common Core State Standards-aligned curriculum that is
        used in Pre-K-6 classrooms across the United States by more than 4
        million children. For teachers, the ePlanner simplifies and shortens the
        process of creating and organizing classroom lessons, while
        ePresentations and eToolkit provide interactive whiteboard tools for
        each lesson to guide classroom instruction.

        program for Grades K-6, was named a finalist for Best K-12 Course or
        Learning Management Solution. The program allows teachers to deliver a
        differentiated curriculum through multiple modalities. Covering topics
        in life, earth and physical science, Instant Science allows students to
        access science content through a variety of digital resources including
        games, animations, videos, whiteboards and eBooks.
    --  McGraw-Hill Networks is a brand new middle and high school social
        studies learning system that combines engaging print and digital
        resources to help students discover and learn essential social studies
        content. With a library of engaging online resources, the program, which
        can be personalized and customized for each student to support
        differentiated instruction, transforms social studies instruction and
        learning into an exciting and interactive experience through audio,
        video and other collaborative multi-media features. Networks is a
        finalist in the Best K-12 Course or Learning Management Solution
        category.
    --  McGraw-Hill spark! Biology was named a finalist for Best Science/Health
        Instructional Solution. The program is part of a suite of online high
        school courses that incorporates research-based content, skill-based
        games, a self-contained social network, customizable lesson planning, a
        learning management system, and on-demand professional development to
        encourage student collaboration and exploration.

In the higher education sector, McGraw-Hill Education was also named a finalist for five awards for multiple digital offerings: McGraw-Hill LearnSmart™, McGraw-Hill Blackboard Building Block, Tegrity Campus and Practice Marketing™.

The winners are scheduled to be announced on May 7 at the Ed Tech Industry Summit in San Francisco.
