Tegrity Usage Surges as Lecture Capture Improves Learning
Year-to-date, usage of Tegrity's lecture capture technology surged 47% over last year with students viewing over 1,155,007 hours of instructor videos. The number of unique students using Tegrity increased 35% during the same period, and total student views increased by 38%, from 1,447,410 to 2,322,985, further exhibiting a rapidly growing adoption rate for the cloud-based lecture capture service. Throughout the school year, Tegrity logs millions of views by college students across the nation who take advantage of its highly personalized and interactive learning environment to make study time incredibly efficient.
"As an early adopter of lecture capture technology, we've been studying its impact on our students' success over the years and know that it significantly increases depth of learning and results in greater satisfaction with our courses," said Sandra L. Miller, Director of Instruction & Research Technology at William Paterson University, a Tegrity customer since 2003. "Our most recent study revealed that 63% of our students felt that Tegrity had positively impacted their success in their courses, and over 90% of students would recommend it to their friends," she added.
In a nationwide survey of over 9,000 student users, 95% of all respondents indicated Tegrity contributed to their learning process, with significant increases in motivation to study, depth of learning and amount of course material learned during a college course using Tegrity's lecture capture capabilities. Easily integrated with any Learning Management System (LMS), Tegrity offers live or on-demand access to class lectures or supplementary course content, and requires minimal support from IT departments, with no servers or classroom-based appliances to manage or maintain.
