McGraw-Hill Education President Peter C. Davis Elected to President's Policy Council of the Alliance for Excellent Education

Peter C. Davis, president of McGraw-Hill Education, a leading global provider of print and digital instructional, assessment and reference solutions, has been appointed to the President's Policy Council of the Alliance for Excellent Education by Alliance president Bob Wise, former governor of West Virginia.

The Alliance for Excellent Education is a national policy and advocacy organization that works to improve national and federal policy so that all students can achieve at high academic levels and graduate high school ready for success in college, work, and citizenship. The President's Policy Council provides guidance to the Alliance on issues related to improving student achievement.

As president of McGraw-Hill Education, Mr. Davis is responsible for leading one of the world's top education companies, serving teachers, students and individuals in a range of professions worldwide. He is leading McGraw-Hill Education's efforts to develop effective digital learning platforms and tools that are customized to the needs of each student and designed to generate positive learning outcomes at virtually every level of education. Prior to joining McGraw-Hill Education, Mr. Davis was executive vice president of global strategy for The McGraw-Hill Companies. Earlier in his career, he was a managing director at Novantas LLC and a senior partner at Booz Allen Hamilton.

Mr. Davis holds a bachelor's degree from Rutgers College and a master's degree in business administration from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University.
