CTB/McGraw-Hill, a leader in K-12 and adult education assessment solutions, today announced that Yearly ProgressPro, a research-based assessment, instructional, and intervention tool, has received the top rating in an evaluation by the National Center on Response to Intervention (NCRTI). Yearly ProgressPro ranked highest in all measured criteria, including classification reliability, validity, and sensitivity to student improvement.
"This National Center on Response to Intervention rating is an independent demonstration confirming that Yearly ProgressPro provides valid, evidence-based assessments," said Ellen Haley, President of CTB/McGraw-Hill. "Yearly ProgressPro delivers accurate, reliable data to identify students requiring assistance, as well as providing tools that assist those students according to their specific needs."
NCRTI was established to provide educators with sound information about evidenced-based RTI tools, practices, and implementation strategies. The Center's mission is to provide technical assistance to states and districts in implementing proven RTI models, which includes evaluating and rating commercially available RTI solutions. A committee of expert reviewers rates tools against a comprehensive set of General Outcome Measures, designed to allow educators to make informed decisions and select tools that best meet their individual needs. A thorough description of the NCRTI rating and evaluation criteria is available on the Center's website at: http://www.rti4success.org/chart/progressMonitoring/progressmonitoringtoolscha rt.htm.
