For more than 50 years, students and teachers have loved the SRA Reading Laboratory® series. SRA/McGraw-Hill's new Web site SRAReadingLabs.com now allows users to share their favorite Reading Lab memories and success stories, review program research, request samples, purchase the program, and learn about the latest in the series: SRA Mathematics Laboratory® and SRA Science Laboratory®.
Teachers across the country have voiced their love of the program. One of them is Ann Edwards, the 2004 Patrick Groff Annual Teacher of The Year Award from the National Right to Read Foundation of Chino Hills, Calif. She said, "SRA Reading Laboratory is a vital and active part of my Grade 1 classroom, contributing to the success of my students, who, reading at or well above grade level, leave my room at the end of each school year ready for second grade."
Kathy Tsakiris, a teacher in Boynton Beach, Fla., also said, "What I really like about SRA Reading Laboratory is the organized way the skills are presented and reviewed. It fills the gaps for the students for any concepts they might have missed. The stories are very interesting and the kids really like reading them."
SRAReadingLabs.com provides an online community for teachers like these who have had success with the program. Many have posted their favorite memories of the program. The site also includes tips for getting the most out of the program and choosing the right Reading Lab for students.
