CTB/McGraw-Hill, a leader in K-12 and adult education assessment solutions, today announced that Yearly ProgressPro™, an online assessment, instruction, and intervention program, has been reviewed and approved by the California Learning Resource Network (CLRN). Approval by CLRN shows that Yearly ProgressPro is aligned to the California Content Standards, and can be used in the State to support and enhance standards-based learning.

Yearly ProgressPro is an online progress monitoring system built upon 25 years of research in Curriculum-Based Measurement methodology, proven to be a highly effective method for improving student learning. Yearly ProgressPro provides educators with the classroom tools they need - Assessments, Instructional Resources, and Reports and Analysis - linked to an easy-to-understand data management system that allows them to track trends in student performance.

CLRN provides educators with the information they need to select, evaluate and procure electronic learning resources, and maintains an interactive Web site to provide educators with information and assistance on those resources. With this approval, Yearly ProgressPro is now included in the CLRN searchable resource database at www.clrn.org.

"We are proud that the CLRN recognizes the quality and rigorous research behind Yearly ProgressPro," said Ellen Haley, president of CTB/McGraw-Hill. "Compliance with the CLRN standards assures educators that CTB solutions are aligned with state academic standards, and helps educators make informed decisions when selecting teaching and learning resources."

Yearly ProgressPro is a progress monitoring tool for Reading, Math, and Language Arts, available in Grades 1-8. It combines ongoing formative assessment, prescriptive instruction, and reporting with a data management system. This system provides teachers and administrators with tools to support student achievement by measuring the effectiveness of instruction, and tracking both mastery and retention of grade-level skills. Tutorial lessons, including instruction and guided practice, can be automatically prescribed according to the group's or individual student's skill levels.

Other features include automated recommendations and assignments that support instructional focus, and reporting tools that generate reports by skill, student, class, district, and student demographics. For more information about Yearly ProgressPro, go to www.CTB.com/YearlyProgressPro.
