SRA/McGraw-Hill has published the California edition of Imaginalo! to help students develop Spanish literacy skills.

Developed with substantial input from California teachers, Imaginalo! for Grades K-6 builds Spanish literacy using authentic Spanish literature. The program can be used with students regardless of their native language. Imaginalo! is one of only two K-6 Spanish literacy programs adopted by the California State Board of Education for the 2008 Reading/Language Arts-English- Language Development adoption.

Imaginalo! is a parallel program to SRA's core reading and language arts program, Imagine It! Imaginalo! has proven, scaffolded support throughout the program to help build students' Spanish literacy skills, providing:

-- Robust instruction in the five key areas of reading
-- Engaging themes in a variety of genres
  -- User-friendly and easy-to-navigate teacher materials
-- Several options to differentiate instruction and assess student
      progress
-- All the tools needed to teach essential survival vocabulary and
      transferable skills
-- Support for successful dual-immersion classrooms
-- A partnership with SRA for ongoing professional development

Just like the Imagine It! program, Imaginalo! engages every learner at every level, monitors progress, and differentiates instruction throughout the year.

The research-based program allows teachers to create a positive learning environment while promoting:

  -- Bilingualism and biliteracy
  -- Grade-level academic achievement
