Macmillan/McGraw-Hill's Treasure Chest Helps K-6 English Learners Develop Language and Literacy Skills

By 2030, almost half of the U.S. population will be speaking a language other than English. As the number of these English-language learners (ELLs) in schools increases, teachers are looking for effective instructional practices to reach all of these students. Supports Comprehension by Building Background Knowledge

Research shows that using sheltered instruction - providing meaningful instruction in content areas such as social studies and math - is key to closing the achievement gap for ELLs.
