McGraw-Hill Online Learning, a provider of digital higher education learning solutions, and Embanet Corporation, a full services provider of online services that maximize an institution's return on investment, have joined forces to offer a comprehensive solution to career colleges seeking an affordable way of offering engaging online courses.

The McGraw-Hill/Embanet alliance provides a "ready-to-go" online solution with robust course content by McGraw-Hill Education and expert hosting in a Tier 1 Data Center and 24/7/365 technical live support for faculty and students by Embanet. The product can easily be coupled with a variety of learning management systems.

"Although online learning has become the norm, many career colleges still face financial barriers to offering a quality, robust e-learning environment. This alliance enables us to couple extensive content with exceptional hosting and student and instructor support to offer these colleges a top-notch solution at an affordable price," said Jeff Schultz, vice president, McGraw-Hill Online Learning.

Through this alliance, career colleges will now have a way to provide complete online courses to students, expand their regional reach, and generate additional tuition revenue with little to no upfront investment and a short time frame. Rather than finance a comprehensive learning solution themselves, the colleges can purchase a per-seat, per-term, per-course license to make it easy to implement online courses without a large initial investment.

The program's tiered pricing structure is based on the type of support each college needs. All packages include hosting and 24-hour email support. Additional service options include 24/7/365 telephone support, support of third party plug-ins, and advanced faculty telephone support.

"For over a decade, the market place has supported our approach of providing the highest quality of hosting and support services that keep more students in the seats and maximize the return on investment," added Jeffrey E. Feldberg, chairman of Embanet. "We are pleased to be able to work with McGraw-Hill, a leading global provider of electronic and print learning materials, to offer this turnkey solution to career colleges. Together we are changing the social fabric of society, one graduate at a time. The Embanet and McGraw-Hill alliance removes the barriers of entry to institutions so they can start benefiting today, help their local community, protect their market share and grow their return on investment."

More than 50 courses covering all major academic subjects will be available through the McGraw-Hill/Embanet alliance by the end of 2006.
