CTB/McGraw-Hill, the nation's leading provider of assessment solutions, today announced the release of its i-know® Version 3.0 online assessment system. Version 3.0 includes Reading and Math assessments aligned to state academic standards in 30 states. In addition, new online end-of-course and high school content is available. The updated solution features online data aggregation and disaggregation capabilities as well as longitudinal reporting. This new version of i-know will be available on August 15, 2004.

In addition to online testing and reporting currently available with i-know, schools can now print tests and scan answer sheets into i-know v3.0 for immediate online reporting. The i-know system offers an invaluable tool for providing teachers with immediate progress results, and for highlighting areas in which students require further instruction.

The longitudinal reporting feature allows teachers to monitor progress in order to meet Adequate Yearly Progress goals as required by the No Child Left Behind legislation. This feature measures student improvement in the classroom over time, and enables teachers to prepare targeted instruction as needed to address individual student needs.

The online end-of-course and high school item banks give students and teachers additional options. They include content in English, Algebra, History, Geography, Economics, Biology, and Physics, as well as Reading, Language, and Math.

"In light of the increased accountability requirements facing all districts, CTB's i-know v3.0 online assessment system gives educators access to flexible progress measurement," said David Taggart, president of CTB. "We're making flexibility a priority as part of an overall strategy to provide support for a variety of teaching styles and classroom computer availability."

The i-know family of web-based assessment, writing, and reporting tools provides teachers and administrators with ongoing student data to inform instruction and direct teaching and learning. Content aligned to state standards is available for grades 3-8 in an easy-to-use format. Immediate online reports provide information about growth and progress for data-driven decisions.
