. Students who need to complete their medical licensing exams can now get online access to the most comprehensive self-assessment resource for intensive preparation. Recently launched, USMLEasy.com, the latest medical online service offered by McGraw- Hill Medical Publishing and powered by ExamWeb™, provides U.S. and Canadian medical students and International Medical Graduates with authoritative exam content and a computer-based testing environment for self-paced study for the United States Medical Licensing Examination™ (USMLE™) Step 1 and Step 2.

USMLEasy provides expert and up-to-date content covering more than 2,500 USMLE™ Step 1 and 2,500 USMLE™ Step 2-format questions, answers, and explanations. This is the largest online bank of USMLE™-type questions available to study, practice with quizzes, and simulate the exam-taking experience for Step 1 and Step 2.

"Self-paced diagnostic testing helps medical students get used to problem- solving under intense time pressure as much as it helps them evaluate the effectiveness of their test-taking strategies," said Jack Farrell, vice president and publisher of Online and Digital Products for McGraw-Hill Medical Publishing. "If students begin using self-assessment resources early enough, they can track their performance in specific subject areas and modify their study plans accordingly."

USMLEasy Step 1 and Step 2 include a customizing feature so that students can select specific subject areas to quiz themselves. The test bank delivers explanations about both correct and incorrect answers, providing an invaluable self-study. "We publish a solid series of review texts, pretests, and online resources for medical students and educators to use throughout the standard four-year medical curriculum," said Farrell. "This is a great pleasure for us to add USMLEasy Step 1 and Step 2 for online self-assessment to our offerings, because preparation for USMLE™ exams isn't complete without it."

The new service is available free of charge in an introductory offer that extends through May 31, 2004 at http://www.usmleasy.com/. Paid subscription periods of one or three months and upgrade options will be available after May 31st.
