McGraw-Hill Higher Education's eLearning group has signed a strategic agreement with Microsoft® to offer higher education institutions full access to the Microsoft eLearning Library (MELL). MELL provides a cost-effective, in-depth training and reference resource that includes the complete suite of Microsoft products.

"We are providing higher education institutions with an online solution that offers access to Microsoft's high-quality training and reference resources," said Jim Kelly, vice president, McGraw-Hill Higher Education eLearning group. "Now, they can optimize the use of their technologies by offering training, support and administrative tools to educators, students and staff to meet any customized needs."

Through MELL, students, educators and staff can access a full range of support, interactive training and reference materials that include engaging simulations, on-screen demonstrations and tools to build skills quickly. Lessons on Microsoft Office and Windows® include easy-to-use content that can be customized for an optimal training experience. MELL also includes development and support solutions in three different editions -- Desktop, Networking and Programming.

"The MELL system offers engaging training and reference materials to enhance technical learning for students, faculty and administration at all user levels," said Marissa Strominger, marketing director at Microsoft Learning. "Through this alliance, McGraw-Hill is offering colleges and universities easy access to a comprehensive training system that keeps pace with the latest Microsoft technology,"

The six specially designed collections of the MELL system offered by McGraw-Hill Higher Education can be integrated into existing technology infrastructure with an option to install training materials separately for offline use. Institutions that are members of the Microsoft IT Academy or Microsoft Developers Network Academic Alliance (MSDNAA) are eligible for special discounts.
