McGraw-Hill Higher Education, a leading provider of print and electronic solutions, today announced the expansion of disciplines for the powerful online diagnostic and assessment tool GradeSummit. The expanded disciplines include Introduction to Finance, Intermediate Accounting, Organic Chemistry, College Physics, and Introduction to Biology, increasing the total disciplines served to 13.

GradeSummit is an innovative online study tool that enables students to measure their knowledge level of a particular subject with references to specific texts. With GradeSummit, students can access more than 2,500 practice questions created specifically for each discipline. Students and their instructors can view individual results per question, per topic or per subject, while instructors also have the ability to view class performance. The assessment component helps determine a student's overall proficiency down to topic level, giving students the ability to adjust their study time to focus on areas requiring more attention.

"Both students and educators continue to tell us that GradeSummit is making a positive impact on performance," said Ed Stanford, president of McGraw-Hill Higher Education. "We are excited about expanding the number of disciplines in GradeSummit to widen the reach of this effective learning tool."

   GradeSummit is also available in:
   * American History
   * Anatomy and Physiology
   * Financial Accounting
   * Managerial Accounting
   * Microeconomics
   * Macroeconomics
   * General Chemistry
   * Introduction to Psychology

"GradeSummit has been a hit as far as the students are concerned. It prepares students for exams with questions and difficulty ranges much like regular course exams," said Dr. Troy Wood, professor of Chemistry, State University of New York, Buffalo. "I see quite a correlation between the average class performance on GradeSummit and performance on the exam."

GradeSummit is available packaged with a McGraw-Hill text for an additional $8 or students can purchase GradeSummit access for an entire course via the Internet at www.gradesummit.com for $19.95. Packages and site licenses are also available on the department or institutional level.
